User types are designed to support typical workflows that enable your organization to generate geospatial insights. With varying prices and levels of access, you can select user types based on your team's skills and needs, ensuring that the right tools are in the hands of the right people.
We recommend starting by determining which members of your team need to map, manage, and analyze data. In this case, you would need a Creator, Professional, or a Professional Plus user type. A key difference between these three user types is the license level of the included ArcGIS Pro software. The Creator user type includes an ArcGIS Pro Basic license, providing core functionality. The Professional user type includes an ArcGIS Pro Standard license, while the Professional Plus user type includes an ArcGIS Pro Advanced license and ArcGIS Pro extension products. To learn more about the functionality supported, please review the ArcGIS Pro license levels.
Once you have identified the individuals in your organization who will be creating ArcGIS content and managing and analyzing data, you can assess who needs secure access to collaborate by utilizing the Mobile Worker user type, ensuring data quality as a Contributor, or making data-driven decisions as a Viewer.
